Federalism is the opposite of all this. Federalism allows citizens of multi-cultural societies to freely practice their particularities without running the risk of being oppressed by any majority. There are 28 countries in the world that have adopted the federal system. None of them could be qualified for being racist or sectarian. Lebanon is a multi-cultural country and Federalism is the proper answer to any multi-cultural country.
