- Private property (and the right of inheritance) shall be guaranteed. The content and limits shall be defined by cantonal laws.
- Expropriation shall only be permissible for the cantonal public good. Expropriation may only be ordered by or pursuant to a cantonal law that determines the nature and extent of compensation.
- Any Federal request for expropriation shall require the approval of the relevant cantonal authorities
