Banking
Banking in the federation is licensed and supervised by the cantonal central banks, within one common currency.
In the canton, the cantonal central bank licenses and supervises the banks; a bank wishing to operate in several cantons needs each canton’s approval.
At the federal level, monetary policy remains federal (Art. 54, 66).
