Roads, water, power and telecoms: hard infrastructure is built from below.
In the municipality, municipalities join forces whatever their canton. Electricity and water have no community: municipalities pool their means to reach the scale each project needs.
At the federal level, the federation manages what links the cantons – motorways, railways, airports, ports (Art. 64, 65, 67, 68).
