Elections
Each citizen votes twice: in the municipality where they live, and with their canton.
In the municipality, every resident votes where they live.
In the canton, citizens elect their parliament and Prime Minister. Cantonal MPs are elected in single-seat constituencies over two rounds, so voters choose between programmes.
At the federal level, there are no separate elections: the federal parliament and government are formed from the cantonal ones (Art. 27–28b).
