Votations
Votations are regular popular votes on concrete decisions, from a municipal project to a cantonal law.
They keep elected representatives in check between elections: residents can submit a decision of their council to a vote and confirm or overturn it (Art. 23, 23-bis).
Switzerland shows how such votes can become part of everyday civic life.
