Dr. Hicham Bou Nassif
Dr. Hicham Bou Nassif is a leading academic voice for federalism in Lebanon and a co-founder of the Federal Lebanon movement. He is the Weinberg Associate Professor of International Relations and the Middle East and George R. Roberts Fellow at Claremont McKenna College in California, where his research focuses on authoritarian regimes, democratisation, civil-military relations and political violence in the Arab world. He is the author of "Endgames: Military Response to Protest in Arab Autocracies" and numerous peer-reviewed articles. On FedLeb.org and in frequent media appearances, he argues that federalism combined with Lebanese neutrality offers the country's religiously plural communities a way to preserve national unity while exercising genuine self-government.
