Taxation
Taxes are raised where they are spent: by the municipality, the canton and the federation, each for its own tasks.
In the municipality, residents pay local taxes where they live.
In the canton, each canton sets its own taxes (Art. 82).
At the federal level, the federation levies customs and its own federal taxes (Art. 81, 84).
