Economic life in the federation: who decides what, from the municipality to the canton and the federation.
In the canton, industry, commerce and services are cantonal matters (Art. 129). Each canton could thus shape its own economy, close to its citizens.
At the federal level, currency and customs are federal, and economic and banking law is shared with the cantons (Art. 53, 54).
