Health
Health care in the federation is mostly cantonal, with a few common federal rules.
In the canton, health care is organised and run by each canton: its hospitals, clinics and public-health services.
At the federal level, the federation sets only what must be common – medical professions, medicines, hospital charges, epidemics – and cantonal law prevails (Art. 54).
