The same electoral law shall apply to all four (4) cantons
The electoral college being the cantonal Citizens
The ratio of number of electors per deputy shall be the same of all cantons set
The principle of full geographical coverage shall apply to all. Which means that each canton has to provide that any resident and/or nonresident cantonal Citizen can vote irrespective of his residency.
The system is based on a single-seat, two-round system (scrutin uninominal majoroitaire a deux tours)
Each circumscription will elect a single winner
Each voter casts a single vote for their chosen candidate.
The two-round system may resolve an election in a single round if one candidate receives more than 50% of the votes. If no candidate receives enough of the vote in the first round, then a second round of voting is held with either just the top two candidates.
During the first round each voter choses one candidate amongst the many running. . The one candidate collecting more than 50% of the votes (of more than 25% of the registered voters) is elected. Otherwise a second round is organized.
In the second round, the candidate receiving the highest number of votes in elected.
